Pentagram
A downloadable game
Card game inspired by 5-card Agram
- 2 players (Human vs AI)
- Highest card of lead suit wins
- Loser chooses Trick or Treat
- Trick = increase multiplier
- Treat = capture bonus card
- Highest score after 5 rounds wins
Gameplay
- Cards in play: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, A (only 3 ace, see below)
- Pumpkin Ace is removed from deck and available as capturable bonus card
- Player 1 leads the first round with any card
- The other player must follow suit if possible; otherwise, play any card
- Highest card of the led suit wins the round
- Winner of the round leads the next one
- After each round, before leading the next the loser must choose to either:
- "Trick": increase score multiplier
- "Treat": take the Pumpkin Ace
- There are strategies that will allow you to play well at this game
Scoring
- Winning a round scores 1 point
- Multiplier is applied to player points at end of game
- Having the Ace bonus card at the end of the game scores 1 extra point on top of multiplied score
Controls
- D-pad = select card
- A = confirm selection
- Trick = left or B
- Treat = right or A
Players
- CPU is Player 2 (top)
- Human is Player 1 (bottom)

- Shapes and fills to draw the cards and button prompts
- Fonts (Pedallica) hastily modified to include some spooky symbols
- Pentagram drawn by me using Deneba Canvas on Macintosh System 7.5

What's with the name?
- Pentagram has 5 points
- Agram has a 5-card variation
- The idea to combine the two came before I did any programming :)
